Field Trips and Group Tours

School Groups

A hands-on and interactive tour is offered during the Spring and Fall for students from throughout Milwaukee. Topics covered include:

  • A New World: Werner Trimborn and the Lime Industry

  • A Do-It-Yourself Life

  • Digging Up the Past

  • Guess the Gadget

  • Jeremiah Curtin: Beyond Milwaukee to the World

The tour can be modified for all grades and groups. The cost for the tour is $6 per student.  A $2 historic games add-on is also an option. Reservations are required. An adult chaperone is required for each group of 10 students. Chaperones are free.

For groups wishing to have lunch on-site, there is a $20 set-up and cleaning fee for using the barn.

Scouts

Scouting groups of all ages are welcome. The cost for the tour is $6 per scout. Leaders are free. The tour can be tailored to your needs.

 

Adult Groups

A 45-minute guided walking tour of the site, combined with a tour of the nearby Jeremiah Curtin House, costs $13.00. Seniors/students cost $11.00. Times can be customized for your group. Requires a minimum of 10 people.
